Sir Ben Kingsley thinks there's something 'pure' about his MCU character.

The 78-year-old actor starred as Trevor Slattery in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films 'Iron Man 3' and 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,' and now joked he hasn't actually told his character that yet he will return to the comic franchise for a third appearance in the upcoming series 'Wonder Man'. Kingsley is certain it's the 'kid' in him that resonates with audiences.

'Well I haven't really broken the news to Trev yet that he's about to begin his third incarnation, but if I could find him in a Liverpool pub I should tell him softly and quietly in a corner, 'Trev 'Here we go.'' When asked why the goofy character - an actor who pretended to be the villainous Mandarin in 'Iron Man 3' - was so popular with audiences, the actor replied, 'There's this inner child in Trev and there is something pure in Trev and maybe that touches the unconscious of the audience. That's probably a ridiculous answer, but I tried!'

The 'Gandhi' star is also about to take on the title role of painter Salvador Dalí in 'Daliland' and has explained that the scenes in which he portrayed the late art legend dying were one of the 'most extraordinary days' of his 50-year career . He told 'Collider': 'I reproduced documentary footage of Dalí in the hospital and I was allowed to recreate this scene in the hospital when I was portraying Dalí dying. For me, that was one of the most extraordinary days of my career. I will remember this day forever.”
