Brad Pitt (58) has exhibited his work as a sculptor for the first time. The actor presented his sculptures at the Sara Hildén Art Museum in Tampere, Finland. Pitt is showing his works as part of an exhibition by British artist friend Thomas Houseago (50). The Australian singer-songwriter Nick Cave (64) is also part of the show with a series of painted ceramics.

The Finnish broadcaster Yle presents videos of the vernissage on its Instagram page. In it, Brad Pitt explains what drove him to work as an artist. 'For me, it's about self-reflection,' said the star, whose attendance was unannounced. 'It was born out of the need for what I call a 'radical inventory of the self''.

'I was really brutally honest with myself'

'I was really brutally honest with myself,' Pitt said of the creative process. 'I think of those I may have hurt and the moments when I was just wrong.' After separating from Angelina Jolie (47) in 2017, Brad Pitt is said to have started working as a visual artist. According to 'The Sun', he is said to have set up a studio in his home in Los Angeles, where he made pottery with colleague Leonardo DiCaprio (47), for example.

Brad Pitt is showing nine sculptures at the exhibition, which runs until January 15, 2023. Among the objects is a large relief depicting a gunfight. 'Aiming At You I Saw Me But It Was Too Late This Time' is the title of the 2020 work. The architecture fan also presented a silicone model of a house that was shot at with bullets.
