This news shook the whole fashion world: Supermodel Tatjana Patitz died at the age of 56 . Family, friends, fans and model colleagues all over the world are now speaking up with emotional lines, including the model Claudia Schiffer (52). For her, Tatjana was more than just a colleague, namely part of a real supermodel gang, as she reveals to RTL.
She was different from the rest – the modeling industry agrees on that. In heartbreaking retrospectives, numerous colleagues remember the German supermodel Tatjana Patitz and one thing becomes clear: she was one of the most successful, but also one of the quietest models of the 80s and 90s.

'I am so sad to hear that Tatjana Patitz passed away. I had the pleasure of working with her on many projects. Tatjana had an impressive charisma, but she was quiet, reserved and true to herself. One of my fondest memories was the 'Wild at Heart' shoot for 'American Vogue' in 1991 where we were photographed by Peter Lindbergh and styled by Grace Coddington near the Brooklyn Bridge We wore Schott biker leathers and Chanel fashions as a tough gal gang that appealed and still appeals to the power of the independent female spirit.Tatjana was a pleasure to work with - she possessed an exceptional beauty and strength of character while always remaining down to earth.We will miss her dearly and I speak my sincere condolences to her family and friends.'

Tatjana, who succumbed to her suffering from breast cancer , was born in Germany, grew up in Sweden and later emigrated to America. She ended up living there with her Son Jonah (19), whom she called the 'source of my happiness'. , in Santa Barbara. She was a passionate horsewoman and wildlife activist, committed to animals and nature. That's why Tatjana made herself very comfortable in her chosen home - with two horses, two dogs and a cat.
