Demi Lovato: Beginning of a new chapter in life

Demi explained in an interview with 'SPIN' magazine: 'It was something I thought was just impossible. Even during periods of abstinence, my depression was so severe that I never thought I would get here today. But here I am.” The 'Cool for the Summer' hitmaker suffered multiple strokes, a heart attack and brain damage after taking a drug overdose. But Demi is now looking forward to the future and also hopes to one day start her own family. 'I've entered a new chapter in my life and I don't know what my 30s will hold for me but hopefully one day that will be a family of my own,' says the star. Lovato had struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction throughout her career. The 'Sorry Not Sorry' hitmaker says she's often spoken too openly about her struggles in recent years. The artist added, 'As I get older, I also try to learn to be more private. I think I'm giving people too much insight into my life and I have to ask myself, do people deserve this? I'm sure by the time I'm 35 my mouth will be taped up because I'm just tired of talking about myself.” Demi had found fame as a child starring in the hit children's television series 'Barney and Friends' played along.
