Royal neighbors at the campsite? Yes, that's not so far-fetched. King Willem-Alexander (55) and Koenigin Maxima (51) apparently decided on something very special for their New Year's holiday. As Dutch media are now reporting, the Dutch royal family have a wonderful normal camping trip in Argentina.

'They arrived as every visitor arrives'

It's no surprise that the royal family has been spending time in Argentina. Because Queen Máxima was born and raised there. Daylight saving time is currently in the southern hemisphere. The best conditions for a few nights in a tent camp. The Dutch royals apparently thought the same thing and turned up at the Argentinian campsite 'Relmu Lafken' on New Year's Day.

'It was like a dream. We didn't believe it until I saw what happened at our campsite,' Patricia Montenegro, the site's owner, is quoted as saying by Story.nl. The famous campers arrived with a delegation of thirty people. “Everything went very naturally and very quickly, then they went to the plot that we had assigned them. They arrived as every visitor arrives.”

No glamping for the royals

Although not a luxury glamping site, Argentinian campsite Relmu Lafken is a place of complete privacy on the Negro River. The three princesses Amalia (19), Alexia (17) and Ariane (15) can rent kayaks or enjoy the beautiful nature. And the campsite even has a hidden beach. (tma)
