The 'Bring Me The Horizon' frontman was among those who received a shell for home delivery from the 'Sugar We're Going Down' hitmakers. After an oddly ambiguous letter, it's the next step in the band's cryptic campaign that fans think is meant to portend a new album.
Sharing a picture of his package from the pop punk megastars, Oli Skyes wrote on Instagram: 'What the heck is this and why is it in my house?' The shell has '1 of 13' written in the middle while it there is an accompanying letter on letterhead that reads 'A Homeboys's Life'” The package is dated 19 January 2023 and also includes the message 'Love from the otherside'. It is signed with the band members' initials and the group's name.
Last week, the band — consisting of Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley — heralded the follow-up to 2018's 'M A N I A' with a letter to fans that promised 'more than a gold watch.' In an email to fans, also with the subject line 'A Homeboy's Life,' they cryptically mused: 'Here we end another rotation around the sun, a cosmic vortex. We're still trying to free ourselves from everything we're meant to be. But before the champagnes get warm and flat, glitter turns to dust and squints at the New Year's sun: let's fire up the engine and fire it up for another magical journey. We've spent the last year collecting ideas in a tiny space and can't wait to share them with you.'
