Matilda Ledger is growing up and looking just like Heath
It's almost 15 years to the day: On January 22, 2008, Heath Ledger was found lifeless in his New York apartment. The actor is said to have died of an accidental overdose, a deadly mix of drugs. Particularly tragic: he was only 28 years old – and could never see his only child grow up.
His daughter Matilda is from Heath's relationship with co-worker Michelle Williams (42) , which he filmed in 2004 to the movie 'Brokeback Mountain' met. After the Hollywood star's death, the girl was largely kept out of the public eye. But now photographers photographed the 17-year-old together with her stepfather Thomas Kail. And it becomes clear: Matilda is Heath's little doppelganger - she inherited his features, his complexion and his hair color.
'She has many of his qualities'
And it seems the uncanny resemblance doesn't stop there. Matilda's grandfather, Kim Ledger, revealed in a previous interview that his granddaughter also has the same personality as her father. “She has many of his qualities. She's very curious, she has his energy because Heath hasn't slept since he was two and so is Matilda,' the Australian told The Project.
Heath was a proud dad
Heath made it clear time and again in interviews how in love he was with his little daughter throughout his life: “Becoming a father exceeds all my expectations. It's the most amazing experience I've ever had – it's wonderful.” (tma)
