Film mit Florence Pugh

Hollywood screenwriters are on strike. Marvel Studios has now apparently had to postpone the production of a second feature film. A few weeks after the studio decided to pause Blade, Thunderbolts is said to have been affected as well. This is reported by 'The Hollywood Reporter' and 'Deadline'.

That's what 'Thunderbolts' is about

Marvel hopes to start production on the film after the strike. Lee Sung Jin, creator of hit Netflix series Beef, reportedly last worked as a writer on Thunderbolts, according to reports. The film will focus on a team of Marvel's shady characters.

The cast includes Florence Pugh (27) as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan (40) as the Winter Soldier, David Harbor (48) as the Red Guardian, Olga Kurylenko (43) as Taskmaster, Julia Louis-Dreyfus (62) as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine and Wyatt Russell (36) as US agent. Together they form the eponymous group Thunderbolts, which can be understood as an alternative to the Avengers. Steven Yeun (39) is also said to be in front of the camera for the strip, in which role it is not yet known. The start of the film is originally planned for July 2024.

The Marvel film 'Captain America: New World Order' is currently in production, and production of a third 'Deadpool' strip has recently started in London.

Writers have been on strike for weeks

American screenwriters have been on strike since May 2nd. The representatives of the major studios and streaming services have not responded to the demands of the Writers Guild of America. The authors' union fights for better pay and better framework conditions for the work of its members. Series like 'Stranger Things', 'Cobra Kai' and 'Yellowjackets' are also affected by the strike.
