What happened to Melanie Griffith?

In the paparazzi photo currently doing the rounds, Melanie Griffith can be seen driving in Los Angeles. On her solo outing she was mother of three Dressed all in black and wore large sunglasses. So far, so normal. But if you take a closer look, you'll notice the fresh scar on the left side of her face. The Hollywood star's otherwise flawless skin appears to have had a wound just below the ear that has been stitched up and is still healing.

Too many beauty procedures?

It is not known whether the conspicuous mark came from a beauty procedure. The actress makes no secret of the fact that she's had quite a few tweaks throughout her career. Recently, however, her face looked extremely distorted and mask-like. In the meantime, Melanie has apparently recognized for herself that she has done herself no favors with her cosmetic surgeries. In an unusually candid interview with Porter magazine in April 2017, she explained, 'I didn't realize it was too much until people were like, 'Oh my God, what did she do?''

She was hurt by the comments about her appearance. She then looked for a new doctor who was supposed to mend the mistakes of the old one. 'Hopefully I look normal again now,' Melanie said at the time.

It could also be that something else played a role in the new scar. In the past, Melanie had to have multiple operations for skin cancer on her face. In September 2018, she shared a photo of herself with a bandaged nose on Instagram with the caption, 'Rebandaged after dermabrasion, final step in repairing skin cancer now removed. If either of you have it, get it fixed. If you are in the sun, exposed to a lot of sun, be careful.” (tma)
