Margot Robbie was 'fascinated' when she discovered a whole room full of pubic hair toupees on the set of her movie 'The Wolf Of Wall Street'.
The 32-year-old actress rose to international fame for her role as the wife of disgraced stockbroker Jordan Belfort in Martin Scorsese's 2013 film. She had to strip down for the film, and now she's revealed that the costume department had an entire room full of pubic wigs for the scenes.
During an appearance on the show 'Fitzy and Wippa' on Australia's Nova FM, Margot explained: 'There are things called merkins, it's like a wig but for genitals. I remember it was for 'Wolf of Wall Street' was a whole room full of pubic hair. I think people went in and picked one. Yeah, I won't go into detail now, but it was fascinating and a little known fact about the film industry. Merkins.'
Margot also spoke about an 'exuberant party scene' appearing in her new movie 'Babylon' and revealed the raunchy sequence took over two weeks to shoot. She shared: '[It took] at least [two weeks] to shoot the whole sequence - outside and inside. I can't remember how many days we were inside to shoot the dance part, but it felt like a whole life and also like a distant, hazy memory.' Robbie was interviewed alongside her co-star Diego Calva, who was asked how he felt seeing so much bare skin during filming. He replied: 'Believe it or not, after the third day you kind of get used to it, like it's normal.' Margot chimed in, adding, 'You get desensitized so quickly.'
