On July 12, 2020, Benjamin Keough committed suicide. He shot himself with a shotgun at his girlfriend Diana Pinto's birthday party. Now more details about the death of Elvis' grandson are coming to light.

Benjamin's girlfriend found him in the bathroom with the gunshot wound

According to the autopsy report obtained by The Sun, Benjamin Keough's death is officially being ruled a suicide. Cause of death: gunshot wound. The son of Lisa Marie Presley said to have had alcohol and cocaine in his blood at the time of his death,

According to the report Diana Pinto, Benjamin's girlfriend , checked on him during the party but found the bedroom door locked. She managed to open the door with a hairpin. In the adjoining bathroom, she then found Benjamin with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead when police and paramedics arrived.

Benjamin is said to have long suffered from depression and was also known to drink heavily and use drugs, especially cocaine. Almost five months before his death, he is said to have been in a rehabilitation clinic for a few weeks. In total, he is said to have tried withdrawal three times, but only pulled through one of them.

Benjamin wanted to take his own life beforehand

According to The Sun, Benjamin attempted suicide about six months before his death. He is said to have suffered from 'severe depression' and not left his room 'for long periods of time'.

The video surveillance of Lisa Marie Presley's Calabasas estate is said to show that on the night of Benjamin's death there was 'possibly a war of words between the deceased and his girlfriend in the garden of the house'. He is said to have then gone into the bathroom, from where a shot was heard a few minutes later.
