Book and Netflix documentary

Prince Harry's (38) popularity has fallen to a record low, according to a new UK poll. As reported by the 'Daily Mail', among other things, according to the 'YouGov' survey, almost two thirds (64 percent) of Britons have a negative image of the Duke of Sussex. That is six percent more than last May.

The grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) had made serious allegations against the royal family in the Netflix documentary 'Harry & Meghan' and in his autobiography 'Spare'. Only about a quarter (26 percent) see Prince Harry in a positive light right now, according to the survey, which was polled for 1,600 people.

years of descent

According to the Daily Mail, Harry's popularity in 2017 was at an all-time high at 70 percent. Public opinion of the Duke of Sussex has steadily declined over the past six years. At the end of 2021 - in the year of his TV interview with Oprah Winfrey (68) - there were apparently more negative than positive voices for Harry for the first time. In the conversation with the talk legend, which ran on US television in March 2021, Harry and his wife Duchess Meghan (41) had made allegations against the royal family for the first time since they left the palace.

Harry's memoir 'Spare' is officially out this Tuesday (January 10). In it he mainly attacks his brother Prince William (40), but also his father King Charles (74) and his stepmother, Queen Consort Camilla (75). In December, together with Meghan, he had already dished out against the royal family in the Netflix documentary 'Harry & Meghan'. Both now seem to be reflected in the polls. The Sussexes stepped down as senior royals in early 2020 and live in California with their two children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1.
