Have you long since forgotten your name? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! After taking part in the casting show 'Germany's Next Top Model', a number of up-and-coming models made their breakthrough on the catwalk or through photo shoots - even though Heidi Klum (49) in the casting show did not believe in her until the end. The current GNTM season starts on February 16, 2023: Here is an overview of all important information .

Anh Phuong is in demand internationally

In the twelfth season of GNTM, Anh Phuong finished eighth. Although she had modeling experience before participating in Heidi's show, things went uphill for her, especially after her end. While her season was still airing, Anh had around 100,000 followers on Instagram. Today there are around two million users who follow her. Rightly so, after all, Anh has made a name for himself as an internationally successful model with shoots for 'Issey Miake', 'Harper's Bazaar Vietnam', 'L'Officiel Baltic' and 'Vogue Italia'.

Sarina Nowak is successful as a curvy model

She still made it to sixth place in season four, but then too was for Sarina Nowak End of 'Germany's Next Top Model.' After her participation, the blonde decided to escape the obsession with slimness in the fashion industry. In the USA, she embarked on a new path and made a name for herself as a curvy beauty with her curves. She walked the catwalk for the legendary 'Sports Illustrated' and shot for Khloe Kardashian's fashion label 'Good American'. In 2022 she even returned to the GNTM set – but not as a candidate, but as a guest juror at Heidi's side.

Shari Streich runs at the Berlin Fashion Week 2023

In the 13th season of GNTM, Shari Streich flew out in the shoot-out and ended up in 14th place. Shortly after this defeat, however, she was able to look forward to an accolade: she modeled for 'Vogue Italia' – and since then has mainly been for sporty ones Brands active as a model. At the last Berlin Fashion Week in January 2023, she once again walked the catwalk for the designer Rebekka Ruetz and is under contract with several model agencies - including 'OneEINS fab'.

CarolinSINerhauf has arrived as a model

In the eighth GNTM season, CarolinSINerrhauf came in eighth. She is now the mother of a three-year-old daughter and has started out as a model, especially internationally. She has stood in front of the cameras for brands such as Zara, Lanius, C&A and Bimby y Lola and has been booked for shoots by magazines such as Cosmpolitan, Icon and Teen Vogue. She never returned to television.

Brenda Kranz was rediscovered after GNTM

Brenda Kranz took part in GNTM in 2009. However, the then 18-year-old only made it into the top 30 in the fourth season. The woman from Heinsberg was then discovered while strolling through Hamburg and received a contract with the agency 'Place Models' in 2010. One catwalk job after another and appearances followed at fashion weeks in Milan, New York and Paris. She can now boast designers such as 'Valentino', 'Dolce & Gabbana' and 'Giorgio Armani' in her CV. Brenda has also appeared in an editorial for the Italian edition of Vogue.

Ivana Teklic ran for Wolfgang Joop

Ivana Teklic also didn't have to be sad for long that she only made it to third place in season 9 and herself Stefanie Giesinger got the win. Even without a GNTM title, she was able to convince luxury labels such as 'Christian Dior' or 'Roberto Cavalli'. Ivana also ran for Wolfgang Joop's label 'Wunderkind', which she had taken to heart from the start on 'Germany's Next Top Model'. Ivana was also able to secure editorial spreads in magazines such as 'Elle Arabia' and 'Elle Bulgaria'.

Vanessa Hegelmaier runs shows for luxury labels

Vanessa Hegelmaier has achieved what many young models dream of. In 2008 she took part in the third season of GNTM, but had to leave the show early due to a fall and a concussion. No reason for the woman from Lower Saxony not to pursue her path as a model. In 2010, Vogue ranked her among the eight best newcomer models. She has already walked in fashion shows in London, Paris and New York for labels such as Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani and Louis Vuitton. And that, although Vanessa, according to 'Elle.de', does not even like to be photographed – 'and I find it difficult to smile on command,' she admits. She still loves her job and doesn't let her aversion to cameras show.

Lara Helmer was allowed to audition at Victoria's Secret

In the eleventh season she just didn't make it to the final, but that didn't affect her modeling career: Lara Helmer from Munich is now successfully under contract with several modeling agencies and calls New York her second home. The brunette beauty has already walked for 'Dior', graced the cover of the Arabic 'Harper's Bazaar', shot for 'Cosmopolitan' and has her own swimwear collection. Shortly after her participation in GNTM, she was invited to the casting at 'Victoria's Secret' – and even if she didn't end up on the catwalk, the casting invitation alone is a coveted milestone.
