While working in the greenhouse, Patrick Teichmann (Nico Rogner) discovers the body of his mother-in-law Heike Teichmann (Tanja de Wendt). Garden worker Juri (Alexander Schuster) flees, the murder weapon in hand, and is the first to be targeted by investigators Gorniak (Karin Hanczewski) and Winkler (Cornelia Gröschel). But the victim's daughter, Nadine Teichmann (Kristin Suckow), is also a potential perpetrator. Because the inspectors experience a family business at the scene of the crime, which seems far removed from a peaceful coexistence of three generations under one roof.

And in the confines of the gondola, among the frightened and agitated people, a very special dynamic develops that leads to emotional revelations.

Ex-prisoner Zeki (Elyas M'Barek) actually wants to make a nice life for himself after his release: He only has to get the money from the bank robbery that was buried on a construction site. Zeki sees only one way to get the money: he can be hired as a substitute teacher - and of all things has to take over the dreaded class 10b. But his rather rough (teaching) methods prove to be an ideal means of gaining respect.
