USA: Actor Julian Sands disappeared while hiking

The actor Julian Sands (65) has been searched for in the San Gabriel Mountains in California for six days. The British actor, known from films such as 'A Room With a View', has been missing since a hike in the mountainous region of the US state of California.
Rescue teams and drones search for Sands
The 65-year-old left northeast of Los Angeles for a trip to the Mount Baldy area last Friday (January 13) and did not return, the sheriff's office in the San Bernardino district said on Wednesday (local time), according to media reports. Rescue teams were looking for Sands, but had to stop the operation due to bad weather and the risk of avalanches, spokeswoman Gloria Huerta told CNN. Drones are currently being used in the search.
Two hikers fell to their deaths in the area
